Announcement
Dear all,
It is with huge sadness that we write to you today. The events of the past few days have had a significant and deep impact on our country and countrymen. This points to an even greater need for us to step up and scale up the scope or our work and commitment in providing hope and opportunity for the poor and underprivileged in our society so that future events of such scale and magnitude doesn’t re-occur. Whilst this will take time and substantial efforts from all of our parts, it is critical that we delay no further in reducing the gap between the haves and the have-nots.
SEBP realizes that we are only a small part of the jigsaw in healing our nation’s ills, but in times like this, even the smallest beacon is a sign of hope. Whilst the government works to secure short and medium term measures to alleviate the pains we are all going through, we must continue our mission of social work.
Given these considerations, the SEBP organizing committee has decided that – provided the situation is safe and calm – we will proceed with the final round of social business plan competition on May 29th. Due to the tragic events of May 19, we have been forced to move the venue to a location to be confirmed in the next few days; we will also send out a revised schedule for the day then. We hope that you will be able to join us.
We understand that some of you, our partners, are more severely affected than others and we wish that with resolve, you will come out of the situation stronger than before. We wish you all safey and security and pray that our nation will recover with a renewed spirit of understanding, reconciliation, forgiveness, and cooperation. May you all take good care.
